Future of Food: Studio Segers’ Ultra-Modern Chicken Coop incorporates elements of architecture, agriculture, and design.
The Daily Needs Chicken Coop and Garden won the prestigious Ovam Eco Design Award in 2013.
As a bespoke indoor or outdoor coop, it can be tailored to both urban exterior and rural environments.
Raised beds provide an opportunity to garden in a closed loop circuit on the exterior of the coop.
The coop’s exterior is made with a soft moisture-resistant pine called Thermowood, which helps it withstand the elements.
The coop provides all the components necessary to assemble housing for chickens and small pets, raised beds for vegetables, a composting bin, and a tool shed in a configuration of the owner’s choice.
