The Cultural Landscape Foundation Brings Garden Dialogues To L.A.
“What are the secrets to great gardens? How do garden owners and their landscape architects or designers work together?” These are the kinds of questions The Cultural Landscape Foundation hopes to address in their continuing Garden Dialogues series, which brings together patrons and designers to reveal the creative process and collaboration that goes into some of the nation’s most exciting gardens.
Launched to critical acclaim in 2012, Garden Dialogues provides unique opportunities for small groups to experience exclusive, beautiful gardens– including those created by some of the most accomplished designers currently in practice.
The settings are intimate– generally no more than 24-30 people on each site– and very relaxed (most run 90 minutes, which provides ample opportunity to explore the garden and hear a lively, informativeĀ Dialogue). Nearly every destination in the series is a private, residential garden that otherwise isn’t available for the public to see, which insures that each visit will offer a one-of-a-kind experience.
Garden Dialogues has become one of the most popular programs in TCLF’s history, with most Dialogues sold out weeks in advance. Now, the series comes to L.A., with stunning new residences available for show on May 30 and 31st in Malibu, Beverly Hills, Hollywood, and elsewhere in southern California.
In addition to this month’s debut in Los Angeles, the 2015 Garden Dialogues will host leading practitioners in Chicago, Palm Beach, Aspen, D.C., Northern California, Atlanta, Boston, and more. The series runs March-October.
