Events We Love: The Light Rose Garden in Hong Kong
Beginning in Seoul on February 14, 2017, thousands of LED roses will travel from Korea to Light Rose Garden in Hong Kong in an attempt to “light up the romance this Valentine’s Day”. For the Light Rose Garden display, PANCOM teamed up with curator AllRightsReserved in cooperation with Fair Trade Hong Kong Foundation to deliver a multi-sensory experience of light, shape, and floral from.
25,000 white LED roses will bloom in Tamar’s Victoria Harbour in a display that will begin to glow at 6 pm every night. The exhibit will run from February 14-22, 2017 in a grass field laced with motion lights made specifically for charity sale. Roses can be ordered and picked up at various commercial locations around Hong Kong, or they can be picked up, blown up, and lit up on site before “planting” in the field at Victoria Harbour. A portion of the proceeds from the “light roses” that participants can purchase for their loved ones will be donated to the Fair Trade Hong Kong Foundation to support Fair Trade public education work. All the more reason to spread the love!
