When we want to look at Love through the eyes of astrology, we look at the planet Venus. This Valentine’s Day, Venus (the planet of love) is in the sign of Aries. The planet will remain in Aries until April, as she is slowing down to make a retrograde early in the month of March. Venus performs this appearance of backward motion only once every 18 months– so, her path in February is intense, slow, and very intentional. When she touches our horoscopes this February, we will feel it more profoundly than usual. This will result in more creative ideas, more desire for companionship and romance, and acknowledging feelings for others we may have not recognized in ourselves. As a result of her impending retrograde, the planet is closer to the Earth than normal, and she is visible in the night sky– an extremely bright star– until March 22.
