A Patriotic Twist On Popsicles
There are a few items that inevitably conjure the Fourth of July’s particular brand of Americana– the bright yellow swirl of mustard on a hotdog, red checkered tablecloths spread over picnic tables, and the edible patriotism of red, white, and blue popsicles.
Loathe to give up a time-honored tradition, the GC team set out to make our own version of the classic ice cream truck popsicle, free from food coloring and unnatural additives. In lieu of the original cherry, lime, and blue raspberry rocket pop, we created a delectable threesome of coconut popsicles, decorated with roses, elderflowers, and tiny purple violets.
This nouveau take on rocket pops makes cooking with kids both easy and beautiful (who doesn’t love the effortless elegance that comes with edible flowers?). Without the additional sugar or artificial flavoring, this is one tradition we’re happy to pass on to the next generation.
