Events We Love: CUESA’s Summer Celebration
When it comes to fresh produce, no season really compares to Summer. (Don’t even try to tell us it’s Fall.) With stone fruits, tomatoes, and berries in rich abundance, it’s the ideal time of year to indulge in a little gluttony.
If you’re looking for a way to enjoy all of the produce, check out CUESA’s Summer Celebration, happening on Sunday, June 11th from 6 PM to 9 PM. The event will take place in San Francisco’s iconic Ferry Building, which will be closed to the public for the evening. While enjoying the company of 40 restaurants and 20 spirit companies, wineries, and breweries, guests are invited to “eat [their] way through the best of the season”. Set to appear are local favorites like Bi-Rite Creamery and Blue Bottle Coffee (don’t worry, there’s substantial food up for grabs as well).
Guests will also have the opportunity to enter a raffle for dining at the Bay’s top restaurants, like Chez Panisse, Nopa, and The Slanted Door. All proceeds from the event go to support CUESA’s education initiatives like Foodwise Kids (which utilizes the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market as a learning space for kids) and Schoolyard to Market (which works with San Francisco public schools to not only teach kids to grow produce, but to train them in the business side as well).
