Inside Garden Collage’s recent trip to Fleur Boutique– one of the coolest flower shops in Chicago.
Kelly Marie Thompson founded Fleur, Inc in 2002. Today, her shop is known for it’s lush, organic arrangements and lovely selection of local flowers and other artisan wares.
Handmade soaps and other body products are stocked alongside vintage arrow decor.
Lotions, statuary, succulents, gift cards, decorative twine and other stationary, lavender sachets, candles, and air plants on Fleur’s central display table.
Unlike most flower shops in America, Fleur sources an impressive collection of unisex items, including a gorgeous leather and fragrance line outfitted with hanging terrariums that appeal to both sexes.
Roses, daisies, sunflowers, and other pre-cut flowers are left out for guests to hand-select. Fleur was recently named one of the top florists in the US by Martha Stewart Weddings.
Woody candles match the aesthetic of towering interior shade plants.
Allium in abundance on one of Fleur’s two pre-cut flower tables.
Poppy pods and other lush, verdant plants give Fleur’s plant selection a majestic, organic vibe.
A lovely collection of skulls on Fleur’s interior brick wall complement the texture of woody plants and other greenery below.
Fleur’s gorgeous, hand-painted lavender sachets are stocked in a vintage spin-rack.
A “feather bouquet” that functions as decor.
A collection of local jewelry compliments the plants nearby– beauty you can see, wear, and smell.
