Redefine “Breakfast in Bed” with GC Mother’s Day Doughnuts

What You’ll Need for The Dough:

• 1 cup flour
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 3 tablespoons dried buttermilk powder
• 2 large eggs
• 3 tablespoons water

What You’ll Need For The Glaze:

• 1 cup confectionary sugar
• 1 tablespoon milk
• 3-4 drops lavender extract
• 1 tablespoon honey
• 2 teaspoons rosewater (for the rose glaze)

Method:

• Preheat oven to 375°F.
• Whisk together dry ingredients.
• Beat the eggs, oil, and water.
• Combine liquid and dry ingredients.
• Butter a doughnut form pan.
• Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
• Allow them to cool before adding the magic!

For The Glaze:

• Combine 1 cup of organic, raw sugar; 1 tablespoon of milk for consistency, 3-4 drops of culinary grade lavender extract, and 1 tablespoon of honey.
• After allowing your doughnuts to cool, dip the top half of the doughnut in the lavender honey glaze and plate to serve. 
• For the rose donut, instead of using lavender extract, add 2 teaspoons of rosewater. Make for Mom and enjoy!
