Taking place between July 14th and 16th in Denver, CO is the Slow Food Nations, which is billed as a having the “energy of a street food festival, the rigor of an academic conference, and the inspiration of a cultural exchange.” Hosted by Slow Food USA, Slow Food Nations offers workshops, tastings, tours, and talks. Offerings range from “Bake and Destroy” (a primer on puff pastries and other buttery doughs) to a marketplace with almost a hundred vendors (offering free samples!), from a burgers and bluegrass block party to a discussion of race in farming— in short, a veritable feast for body and mind.
