Homemade Bone Broth

1-6 hours, depending
Ingredients
  • Leftover beef, chicken, or turkey bones
  • Fresh vegetables– we recommend carrots, onion, turnip, and celery
  • Fresh parsley to season
  • Salt + pepper to taste
  • Optional: ginger, turmeric, or another favorite spice
Preparation
1.

Bring the bones, salt, and about 1 gallon of water to a boil.

2.

Once the stock hits a rolling boil, reduce heat and simmer on the stove for at least 1 hour.

3.

Add vegetables and heat until cooked soft. Add salt and pepper to taste.

4.

Remove from heat and allow flavors to meld. Broth gains flavor over time, so the longer it sits, the better it tastes!
