We Love Elle Fanning’s Floral Photoshoot for Vogue
When we first saw Elle Fanning’s Vogue cover for the magazine’s June 2017 issue, we swooned over the starlet’s lush flower crown and her matching Valentino dress. Roses were the literal and figurative theme for Vogue Spring 2k17, with emblems of flowers adorning several pages of the magazine’s key editorials for summer– even down to a beautiful Kate Winslet ad for Lancôme.
The cover story, “Elle Fanning Is an Old Soul Who Has Visions of the Future—And Directing,” is up on Vogue now. Photographed by Annie Leibovitz in New Orleans (the set of Fanning’s new Sofia Coppola-directed film, The Beguiled), the starlet wears an array of impressive floral dresses by Gucci, Valentino Haute Couture, Alexander McQueen, Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci, and Louis Vuitton.
Many of the shots are composed in the moody, Bayou-like environs for which New Orleans is known. At once enchanting, magical, and steeped in arboreal mysticism, it’s a photo spread worth checking out— much like the film itself.
