Listen to the Latest GC Playlist: The “Mod” Look

One of GC’s themes for April is Gardens & Modern Architecture— a look at sustainable design, green architecture, urban gardens, green walls, and other innovative movements to incorporate green space into the modern world. Accordingly, we’ve crafted a playlist around the 1960’s subculture happening that developed into “The Mod Look”: a period that defined the fashion, design, and music for subsequent decades and coincided with a veritable heyday for British bands with a distinctly “modern” look and sound. New Order’s “Blue Monday”, The Smiths’ “How Soon Is Now”, Arctic Monkey’s “Do I Wanna Know?” and The Purple Hearts’ “I Can’t Stay Here” are all songs you’ll find in this week’s mix.
