Bouquet of the Week: Mint, Chives, and More

As part of our recurring Bouquet of the Week series, Garden Collage continues to present a weekly inspirational bouquet that incorporates intriguing new elements into the traditional practice of flower arranging. This week, Garden Collage pushes the boundaries of what can be considered “flowers” by incorporating mint and chive blossoms into a colorful summer bouquet.

The best part about going to the Farmers Market is being able to use the leftovers– and we’re not just talking about the food. On a recent trip to the Union Square Farmers Market we saved a bunch of chive blossoms and orange mint that were being used for soup and dessert recipes and fashioned them into a quaint summer bouquet with a cluster of multicolored Sweet William flowers. A bouquet with three ingredients: two of them recycled. Happy Wednesday!
