Events We Love: Release Ladybugs At The Electric Ladybug Garden
Want to get down in the dirt this weekend but don’t have your own plot of dirt to dig in to?
Located in Harlem, the Electric Ladybug Garden is inviting volunteers to join them this Saturday May 6th, from 1 PM to 4 PM, to help plant in their community gardens beds, and build up their vertical gardening wall in preparation for the Spring and Summer seasons. Volunteers will also be treated to a release of live ladybugs and light refreshments. The garden is a GreenThumb site and often hosts community events, like Earth Day celebrations, pumpkin painting at Halloween, and film screenings. Produce they grow is typically given away to anyone in the community who would like it.
The Electric Ladybug Garden is located at 237 W. 111th Street in New York City.
