Bouquet of the Week: Tulipina’s Perfect Blooms
As part of our recurring Bouquet of the Week series, Garden Collage continues to present a weekly inspirational bouquet that incorporates intriguing new elements into the traditional practice of flower arranging. This week, Garden Collage honors one of our favorite florists, Tulipina, and her gorgeous take on the season of weddings.
Believe it or not, February is “wedding month”– a month in which most people around the world are getting engaged and starting to plan their weddings. To honor that tradition, we reached out to one of our favorite florists, Kiana Underwood of Tulipina, to get her take on what a fresh, modern wedding bouquet could look like. We wanted to honor GC’s monthly theme of “floral celebration” as well, so she is also currently taking over our Instagram, @gardencollage. (Check out the beautiful flowers she’s already shared with us here.)
Underwood brought this one in from the archive: a gorgeously-styled bridal bouquet featuring peonies, massive prickly poppies, lilies, roses, and more. In her previous interview with Garden Collage, Underwood told us that she prides herself on creating bouquets that are “lush, abundant, and organic”– a good rule of thumb when making selections for wedding flowers. “I think that my style has become increasingly free-flowing over time,” she told us, “And my use of color and texture in arrangements is what wins people’s admiration.”
