Events We Love: NYBG’s Culinary Adventures for Kids

This weekend, the New York Botanical Garden is hosting a series of events around the intersection of food and plants, including activity stations, culinary workshops, and cooking demonstrations.

The “Culinary Kids Weekend” runs from Saturday, February 18th to Monday, February 20th between 11 AM and 3 PM. Activity stations– everything from understanding worms and compost to learning to mince vegetables– run throughout the day, while cooking demonstrations– including sweet potato and butternut squash lasagna– at 1 PM and culinary demonstrations– like learning to make carrot and beet pancakes with kale pesto– at 11 AM, 12 PM, and 2 PM. For anyone going a little stir crazy with the snow and missing seeing nature, this series offers the perfect weekend outing.
