Breakfast Masala Chai

  • 1/2 cup of ground Assam tea
  • 2 cups of water
  • 3 cardamom pods
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 stick of cinnamon
  • milk of choice
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
  • 1 medium strip of orange peel
  • Maple syrup
Preparation
1.

In a medium saucepan, bring the water, ground tea, ginger, cardamom pods, cloves, cinnamon stick, and orange peel to a boil for about 10 minutes.

Strain the tea into the cups, add desired amount of milk and maple syrup for sweetness.
