Make Your Thanksgiving a #Throwback With These Corn Husk DIYs
Thanksgiving is a time of gratitude and thankfulness, one that brings families together (whether that’s for the best or worst is not for us to say). If you have kids– and are hosting a dinner– it can also be a time of year when your patience might start to wear a little thin.
Fortunately, there are plenty of ways to get kids involved with Thanksgiving, ones that can even help make the process a little easier for you. Below is an indoor, fall DIY we love, as it evokes the mood of Thanksgiving and keeps Lil’ Sprouts from being underfoot during prep. (Plus, it’s an easy way to give your table an infusion of seasonal style… )
- dried corn husks
- wire or twine
1. Cut corn husks into strips of varying widths.
2. Tie the strips together around their middle with a bit of twine or wire.
3. Wet the husks with warm water, let dry for 15 minutes, and then curl the edges in different directions.
4. Let dry for at least six hours and voilà!
