Bouquet of the Week: The Flavors of Fall
As part of our recurring Bouquet of the Week series, Garden Collage continues to present a weekly inspirational bouquet that incorporates intriguing new elements into the traditional practice of flower arranging. This week, Garden Collage styles a Fall-themed bouquet with elderberries, miniature pumpkin stalks, and golden rod.
This week Garden Collage is paying tribute to Fall with a little focus on Cider and Beer. Below we have our resident brewer’s account of home brewing cider (from harvesting the apples to bottling the final product) and our Bouquet of the Week is styled in a glass beer horn purchased on a recent trip to Belgium. We dropped by our local flower store Casey’s Flowers to pick up some masculine-feeling flowers for a strong but casual bouquet that could sit easily on the corner of a bar or in the center of a coffee table.
The dark magenta lilies, elderberries (we are in love with the elderberries right now after learning how to make elderberry jam….stay tuned for a post next week with our recipe), which mixed well with wild berries, miniature pumpkin stalks, and golden rod. Structured, colorful, and bold– the perfect bouquet for Fall.
