Bouquet of the Week: A Canada Day Bouquet

As part of our recurring Bouquet of the Week series, Garden Collage continues to present a weekly inspirational bouquet that incorporates intriguing new elements into the traditional practice of flower arranging. This week, GC Guy Jared Reichert styles a “Canada Day” bouquet to honor the National Holiday through the lens of his home province, Alberta.

“Growing up, we were surrounded by pastures of wildflowers and Evergreen trees,” Reichert tells us. “The mix of the delicate wild flowers, berries, and thunderous Evergreen trees in my back yard was always so beautiful.”

“I chose the roses because Alberta (the province which I’m from) is called the “Wild Rose” Province. Mixing all four flowers was very instinctual and took me seconds to choose. White and Red (the obvious Canadian colours) represents Canadian Pride. The rosemary (pine) and greenery recalls the vast nature landscape of Canada.”

Happy Canada Day from GC!
