Sketch London Springs Into Bloom

The historic London tea room known as Sketch recently partnered with Mayfair to host a stunning botanical display to honor spring. As an homage to the Chelsea Flower Show that was ongoing during its premiere, Sketch in Bloom featured a hanging flower wall, a moss installation, and blanket-esque floral arrangements which lined the halls and stairways of the salon’s famously-dark entry foyer.

Visitors to the bright-pink tea room, which converts to a cocktail bar at night, enjoyed peonies, delphiniums, ranunculus, gypsophila, carnations, and countless other hanging blooms in the back bar. Bouquets adorning the stairwells featured allium, clematis, and other spring flowers meant to draw the eye up, out, and into the establishment’s beautiful inner confines. The moss perforating the space-age washroom pods was speckled with white cosmos and other ground-dwelling species, while the cocktail room aimed for length and texture vis-a-vis a living upside-down flower display.
