Ring In The New Year with a GC Champagne Cocktail

This New Years Eve, try celebrating with a bespoke champagne cocktail rather than a simple glass of bubbly: adding herbs, floral icecubes, or herbal bitters is sure to impress guests at a party– and the garden elements make the alcohol feel somehow healthier (even if it’s not). Try our recipe for a GC Champagne Cocktail and have a Happy New Year!

GC Champagne Cocktail

Method

1. Place a sugar cube in a champagne glass (ideally a flute).
2. Sprinkle 3-4 drops of bitters over sugar cube. Try adding an intriguing new flavor of bitters (like cardamon or rose) for an unexpected, herbal twist.
3. Fill glass with champagne.
4. Garnish with orange peel.

Tips

Be sure to chill your champagne flutes by placing them in the freezer for 20 minutes before you prep the cocktail.

This very basic champagne cocktail can be modified by excluding sugar or adding a dash of sweet wine to balance out the bubbly. You can also add fruit to the glass.
